Scientific misconceptions
WHY the hell oceans and lakes are blue in color ???????
a simple answer would be "Oceans and lakes are blue in color because they reflect blue sky"
If your answer is the same then U LITERALLY STAMPED SHITT !!
cozz they appear blue beacause water itself is blue in color though color cannot be seen usually when u try to experiment with small amount of water taken in a vessel ... Water is generally clear haha sorry i mean to say PURE water (not hyderabadi water) which has blue color ,this blue color can be significantly seen when water is widespread over some kilometers like in the case of oceans .. Oceans appear strong blue in color as the ground surface is usually filled with white rocky sand.So now i think u got the actual point.
Thanq for patient listening .. will be bac soon

The battle continues..
Microsoft vs Google ..
Google has announced its latest web browser CHROME in competition Microsoft IE 8
Chrome has got many features and it is THE most light weight browser available
Google Chrome is a browser that combines a minimal design with sophisticated technology to make the web faster, safer, and easier.
Personally I feel its impossible to dethrone Microsoft from World's no 1 position as it has got lot of future projects which are awaiting to be released ( and shock other companies ) ( u may think of me as Microsoft Fanboy .. i dont mind)

Freaky pranks part 2
Part 2 of freaky pranks .. some techniques to speed up your pc .. not all techniques written by me .. some of them are plucked from reliable sources . keep visting
Since defragging the disk won't do much to improve Windows XP performance, here are 20 suggestions that will. Each can enhance the performance and reliability of your customers' PCs. Best of all, most of them will cost you nothing.
1.) To decrease a system's boot time and increase system performance, use the money you save by not buying defragmentation software -- the built-in Windows defragmenter works just fine -- and instead equip the computer with an Ultra-133 or Serial ATA hard drive with 8-MB cache buffer.
2.) If a PC has less than 512 MB of RAM, add more memory. This is a relatively inexpensive and easy upgrade that can dramatically improve system performance.
3.) Ensure that Windows XP is utilizing the NTFS file system. If you're not sure, here's how to check: First, double-click the My Computer icon, right-click on the C: Drive, then select Properties. Next, examine the File System type; if it says FAT32, then back-up any important data. Next, click Start, click Run, type CMD, and then click OK. At the prompt, type CONVERT C: /FS:NTFS and press the Enter key. This process may take a while; it's important that the computer be uninterrupted and virus-free. The file system used by the bootable drive will be either FAT32 or NTFS. I highly recommend NTFS for its superior security, reliability, and efficiency with larger disk drives.
4.) Disable file indexing. The indexing service extracts information from documents and other files on the hard drive and creates a "searchable keyword index." As you can imagine, this process can be quite taxing on any system.
The idea is that the user can search for a word, phrase, or property inside a document, should they have hundreds or thousands of documents and not know the file name of the document they want. Windows XP's built-in search functionality can still perform these kinds of searches without the Indexing service. It just takes longer. The OS has to open each file at the time of the request to help find what the user is looking for.
Most people never need this feature of search. Those who do are typically in a large corporate environment where thousands of documents are located on at least one server. But if you're a typical system builder, most of your clients are small and medium businesses. And if your clients have no need for this search feature, I recommend disabling it.
Here's how: First, double-click the My Computer icon. Next, right-click on the C: Drive, then select Properties. Uncheck "Allow Indexing Service to index this disk for fast file searching." Next, apply changes to "C: subfolders and files," and click OK. If a warning or error message appears (such as "Access is denied"), click the Ignore All button.
5.) Update the PC's video and motherboard chipset drivers. Also, update and configure the BIOS. For more information on how to configure your BIOS properly, see this article on my site.
6.) Empty the Windows Prefetch folder every three months or so. Windows XP can "prefetch" portions of data and applications that are used frequently. This makes processes appear to load faster when called upon by the user. That's fine. But over time, the prefetch folder may become overloaded with references to files and applications no longer in use. When that happens, Windows XP is wasting time, and slowing system performance, by pre-loading them. Nothing critical is in this folder, and the entire contents are safe to delete.
7.) Once a month, run a disk cleanup. Here's how: Double-click the My Computer icon. Then right-click on the C: drive and select Properties. Click the Disk Cleanup button -- it's just to the right of the Capacity pie graph -- and delete all temporary files.
8.) In your Device Manager, double-click on the IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers device, and ensure that DMA is enabled for each drive you have connected to the Primary and Secondary controller. Do this by double-clicking on Primary IDE Channel. Then click the Advanced Settings tab. Ensure the Transfer Mode is set to "DMA if available" for both Device 0 and Device 1. Then repeat this process with the Secondary IDE Channel.
9.) Upgrade the cabling. As hard-drive technology improves, the cabling requirements to achieve these performance boosts have become more stringent. Be sure to use 80-wire Ultra-133 cables on all of your IDE devices with the connectors properly assigned to the matching Master/Slave/Motherboard sockets. A single device must be at the end of the cable; connecting a single drive to the middle connector on a ribbon cable will cause signaling problems. With Ultra DMA hard drives, these signaling problems will prevent the drive from performing at its maximum potential. Also, because these cables inherently support "cable select," the location of each drive on the cable is important. For these reasons, the cable is designed so drive positioning is explicitly clear.
10.) Remove all spyware from the computer. Use free programs such as AdAware by Lavasoft or SpyBot Search & Destroy. Once these programs are installed, be sure to check for and download any updates before starting your search. Anything either program finds can be safely removed. Any free software that requires spyware to run will no longer function once the spyware portion has been removed; if your customer really wants the program even though it contains spyware, simply reinstall it. For more information on removing Spyware visit this Web Pro News page.
11.) Remove any unnecessary programs and/or items from Windows Startup routine using the MSCONFIG utility. Here's how: First, click Start, click Run, type MSCONFIG, and click OK. Click the StartUp tab, then uncheck any items you don't want to start when Windows starts. Unsure what some items are? Visit the WinTasks Process Library. It contains known system processes, applications, as well as spyware references and explanations. Or quickly identify them by searching for the filenames using Google or another Web search engine.
12.) Remove any unnecessary or unused programs from the Add/Remove Programs section of the Control Panel.
13.) Turn off any and all unnecessary animations, and disable active desktop. In fact, for optimal performance, turn off all animations. Windows XP offers many different settings in this area. Here's how to do it: First click on the System icon in the Control Panel. Next, click on the Advanced tab. Select the Settings button located under Performance. Feel free to play around with the options offered here, as nothing you can change will alter the reliability of the computer -- only its responsiveness.
14.) If your customer is an advanced user who is comfortable editing their registry, try some of the performance registry tweaks offered at Tweak XP.
15.) Visit Microsoft's Windows update site regularly, and download all updates labeled Critical. Download any optional updates at your discretion.
16.) Update the customer's anti-virus software on a weekly, even daily, basis. Make sure they have only one anti-virus software package installed. Mixing anti-virus software is a sure way to spell disaster for performance and reliability.
17.) Make sure the customer has fewer than 500 type fonts installed on their computer. The more fonts they have, the slower the system will become. While Windows XP handles fonts much more efficiently than did the previous versions of Windows, too many fonts -- that is, anything over 500 -- will noticeably tax the system.
18.) Do not partition the hard drive. Windows XP's NTFS file system runs more efficiently on one large partition. The data is no safer on a separate partition, and a reformat is never necessary to reinstall an operating system. The same excuses people offer for using partitions apply to using a folder instead. For example, instead of putting all your data on the D: drive, put it in a folder called "D drive." You'll achieve the same organizational benefits that a separate partition offers, but without the degradation in system performance. Also, your free space won't be limited by the size of the partition; instead, it will be limited by the size of the entire hard drive. This means you won't need to resize any partitions, ever. That task can be time-consuming and also can result in lost data.
19.) Check the system's RAM to ensure it is operating properly. I recommend using a free program called MemTest86. The download will make a bootable CD or diskette (your choice), which will run 10 extensive tests on the PC's memory automatically after you boot to the disk you created. Allow all tests to run until at least three passes of the 10 tests are completed. If the program encounters any errors, turn off and unplug the computer, remove a stick of memory (assuming you have more than one), and run the test again. Remember, bad memory cannot be repaired, but only replaced.
20.) If the PC has a CD or DVD recorder, check the drive manufacturer's Web site for updated firmware. In some cases you'll be able to upgrade the recorder to a faster speed. Best of all, it's free.

After break..freaky pranks -1
my apologies to everyone for slight interruption .. So I am bac with some kool post(-12 degrees) and i hope you keep encouraging me to do this
Most of you all have experience working in your college computer labs , I know that all of you do the programs seriously .. but sometimes try different things beczuse lab is the best place u could show up your skills.. try doing some batch programming and send it across the network ans try annoying others .. hahh when we come to the matter of annoying , gals show up real quick to your tricks > DEY annoy us with their words and deeds and WE annoy them this way > karths' now your turn theoritical is what many say... but iam not I am practical and i hope everybody might have understood this by now.. So now i am starting a new serial post names "freaky pranks'" which has some common lab techniques and hacks and other security realted stuff.
Destabilize your network :
1.open notepad
2.write the following code
:flush
net send * MSGROUP ENABLED
goto flush
3. MSGROUP should be replaced by your local domain name eg: WORKGROUP
4.repeat that net send statement for 30 times so that it increases the intensity of flooding
5. now save it as "flush.bat" and save it to desktop
I know this is pretty basic but i feel this to be a good one to start with.
daily a trick would be posted .. so keep visting

Satisfy Urself (part 2)
Lovely sunrise ,cool weather, absolute silence ,my mom's suprabatam (urging me to brush ..) ,it is 6.30 in the morning wowwwwwww! a perfect time to carve yet an another useful post
(hope you find it useful). In this technological savvy (hope I got that word correct.) where the new technology is exponentially increasing ,many 0-day exploits are outbreaking..amidst of all these you need to keep urself i mean ur personal stuff and ur pc safe.Having a pc guy who could solve your problems is not feasible solution everytime ..of course I am always there to help out you guys..But still everybody must be able to perform atleast basic troubleshooting steps. So let's start our discussion with basic troubleshooting and later I'll divert you to some Windows hidden programs .(kool stuff)
1.Every computer running windows has specific set of rules which they abide to . All these rules can be managed through Group Policy reckoned as most hardest topic on my mcse exam.
a.Disabling/enabling control panel
b.d/e security center
c.d/e media player
d.d/e task manager
etc ................ all the above tasks and many other tasks can be performed through modifying group policy settings.
open run dialog box ( win+r ) >> type "gpedit.msc" without quotes >>go through these setting ..self explanatory stuff
2.Computer management : Monitoring user profiles, groups, disk mgmt (formatting stuff),disk fragmentation, device manager, event viewer, performance logs etc etcc can be accessed via computer management console.
open run>>type "compmgmt.msc">> change the settings.
3. regedit : though u need some expertise for using this tool , still comes very handy for complex troubleshooting .. always backup your registry when the system is in stable state.
4.services: guess why your system has become very slow ?? its because of the number of services running have increased
run >>"services.msc">>disable unwanted services .
Some xp/2003 hidden programs: Some may not be included in modified versions of windows. Open run dialog box and type these commands.
1.winchat.exe : Used for Lan chatting .. U may use them in our labs also for chatting.
2.iexpress.exe:a custom .msi creator which makes ur files into install based versions . pretty koolllllll!
3.eudcedit.exe : another alternate for paint
4.perfmon.exe : used to see performance stats and counters of your PC. Useful if your palling for new hardware.
5.rasphone.exe : A custom dialer utility which integrates with your network connection.
Thank you for readingg . Njoy the lovely day.

1.2.3 ur are now hacker
Hack@karths.comm .. Do you wanna hack yahoo/gmail accounts then you landed at correct place .. First things first . this tutorial is solely NOT written for educational purpose (karths is very brave
).. i've written it intentionally to make you learn how hacking can be made simple with COMMON SENSE and observation.
Last night one of my NIT friends called me and said that he forgot password of his account.I asked him to do a password recovery through "forgot password" option. He called once again and now this time to everybody;s expectations said that he even forgot his secret question's answer.huhhh!! and he asked to come to his house to do the troubleshooting...k I went and and retrieved his cookies (thank god! he didn't clear them off) and decoded them using cookie decoder software and found some interesting notes.I somehow managed to retrieve his password.I''ll give you the synopsis .The major point here is to trick the mail server that the date of birth, security question, and the answer you provided are true.U need to do all this by composing a mail from another account of same service provider. Next write down these steps onto a paper coz documenting is very important.
1.open a mail account (yahoo/gmail etc..) and compose a mail with " subject : <Your victims id>"( as it is the same thing in session cookie).
2.next <to address> : recover23496634_pswd@yahoo.com (for yahoo accounts .. careful with the number note it down on to a paper) &&& pass.rcvry@gmail.com ( for gmail accounts . remember gmail uses SSL so number over there)
3.Now the actual part.. follow the same sequence in the message body field
a. ques#%sec(99) :#your mail-id question# eg: if your question is "who is your childhood hero" then your interpretation must be #who%20is%20your%20childhood%20hero# [replace space by %20 ].
b.ans#%sec(72):#your-mail id answer# ..
c.dob#%sec(3):#your D.O.B# .. must be in mm.dd.yy format for yahoo .. and in dd.mm.yy for google.
d.pins_sec:#your retrieval code# .. only used for gmail.. write any number but make sure that u remember it as it is used later.
Then next send that mail .. now the mail server wouldn't recognize what to do since all the security details you mentioned ( details of your id) from which you sent the mail match .. but (there is always a buttt in security) the id mentioned in the subject field doesn't match .So now it gives the victim's password(id mentioned in sub field) instead of giving your password .
HAAHhhh! that's it you'll generally get the password mail to you or else generates an error( in such case make sure U typed everything correctly)
This method would work most of the times i bet you would experience 90% success rate until and unless u wake up from your dream..I wish i would have been there with you at instance to see how many of you are seriously composing a mail with literal crap which i have taught in it.
.This is all bogus.I am not insulting u guys .plz don't misunderstand me this is a very simple demonstration of social engineering attack showing how easily yo get fooled .I ve tried to fool u by using some technical jargon to make u believe..so u really wish to be a hacker then U must learn internals of software and should be good at socket programming..so now wake up dont' believe anything in this internet world.Never ever follow any method teaching hacking online coz hacking can be never taught it can only be learnt ..karths becoming too philosophical these days
and one more thing never give your id details .coz dey end up mail bombing ur id with spam .So annalu, tambilu, chellelu ,akkalu...tokkalu leni dani gurinchi pote unnaadi kuda potadi .I never intended to insult anybody of you. Hope this post helps out
Thank you for patient reading .. next post will be ready very soon.

Sun for sale?
Sun for sale?
Dropping profits and stock prices have analysts speculating that Sun could be a target for either acquisition or a restructuring in which the company would sell off parts of the business and focus on a smaller set of technologies."In 12 months, Sun will not be the same company it is now," predicts Enterprise Strategy Group (ESG) analyst Brian Babineau.
Sun's server revenue and market share both dropped this year, according to a July report by Gartner. For all Sun businesses, net income for the fiscal year that ended June 30 was $403 million, a full $70 million less than the previous year.Sun's stock, which was trading at a high of $24.92 last October, was selling for just under $10 this week.
Fujitsu and HP would be leading candidates if Sun is for sale, Lyman wrote. Fujitsu "is already aligned with Sun, given its role in manufacturing Sparc processors and hardware," he wrote. A Sun buy "could also give Fujitsu, or any other potential acquirer, an instant open source product line."
HP could see a Sun acquisition as a way to get deeper into open source software, Lyman wrote. Even though HP hasn't contributed a lot of code or resources to open source, it has benefited by certifying its hardware for Linux

Why is Certification Useful?
This is question i usually come across. It has been 2 years since i started my certi-career and I am now pretty much confident to say that "certification is important" and it is what that matters the companies mostly.
Despite the fact that it has been over 18 years since IT certifications have been introduced .. still there are many queries regarding the importance of it ..Certfication is a means through which they get to know that you know something .sorry for my bad english ,but somehow i think I have stated my point to you.A certfication is of high imporatance to a fresher in moulding huhh! k rather building his career. With the start of first certification program CNE (certified novell expert) by Novell way back in 1989 the year in which I landed on Earth
,there has been a considerable change in the recruitment process.Till then companies reportedly faced many problems in getting the best workers out there since everybody possessed the same bunkum qualifications. But later the scene changed entirely and it's not qualifications that mattered but the experience and certifications which gained prominence. Some of the vendor companies offering certification programs are Microsoft,Cisco,Sun,Novell,IBM,Citrix,EC-council,Oracle corporation,SAP etc..Certification study serves as a blueprint to know about new technologies.
Some benefits you get being certified: a.Companies have a greater inclination towards you and weigh you more than others.
b.Career progress which is bit intuitive (my GRE word!!) can be made modular by selecting a hierarchical methodology.
c.Last not least ( definitely not the least one though..) you get super-duper salaries and pay-hikes .
d.Expertise in more than one fields is important .. and the only way you claim expertise is by getting certified.
JACK OF ALL ARTS . MASTER OF NONE
is not the current situ
infact now the current trend is that companies saying
"WE WANT THOSE JACKS. WE KNOW HOW TO MAKE THEM MASTERS"
thank you for reading .. karths waiting for ur comments.

Colorful Tabs for Firefox
Leading a happy and colorful life is definitely everybody's choice .. adding a bit to it i'll tell u how to make ur browsing colorful
. Firstly I hate firefox for some obvious reasons but for part of my browsing I use it,U may think of me as MICROSOFT fanboy bcoz i like IE for same obvious reasons .lemme tell u 1 thing IE 8 is pretty good.much cooler than firefoxxx.
One major reason why I use firefox despite the fact that i don't like it is because of its support for extensive range of plugins huhhhhhh!
Color tab add-on: It is bascially a very simple plug-in which pleases your eyes.It has support for auto tab coloring.
I am one among many users who used firefox merely because of this add-on (jus kidding ..) .Best add-on out there ..definitely worth of giving it a try

Satisfy ur self ...(part 1)
How many of you know about Google.I bet everyone knows , of course even a 2nd class student knows it , throw that question aside and let me ask u one more thing How many of u all are aware of TOORGLE .. hahahaha not many of u i guess k fine den I may not know many things that u all know .. it is a certain fact. k fine then i'll tell you something which I know that is about TOORGLE (a torrent searcher)
the web interface looks quite similar to Google, .It spidered nearly 200+ torrent websites the kool thing about this search engine is that it breaks into some loopholes of private trackers such as bitme.org ,elbitz.net etcc..and also makes the premium torrents availableb for us to download .I bet this is the best solution if u never intended to use torrent searcher s/w's .So now have a go at it ...karths waiting for ur feedback
part 2 is on cards .. will be posted soon

Disable USB Autorun to Save PC from USB Viruses
Hello everybody ..i hope all of u are in good health and i expect the same from ur pc's.If certainly it is not the case then karths is always there to help u out GET SET GO ....
The recent trend of virus replications is through an USB drive ,the dangerous part of it is that the viruses get automatically gets kickstarted upon insertion. So today I present u with some tips to protect ur pcs, laptops atleast to some extent by disabling auto-play feature.. to do this follow these steps
1.Click the Start button, then Run and enter “gpedit.msc”(my fav troubleshooting tool) without the quotes
2.Go to Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> System
3.Scroll down to “Turn off Autoplay” and double click on it
4.Click on the “Enabled” radio button, then for “Turn off Autoplay on” select “All drives”
This will now prevent any virus from auto executing itself through a USB drive.

Perige koddi buddi taggutadi .. (in my case)

High School:
10 PRINT "HELLO WORLD"
20 END I used to a lot of batch programming then..
Btech first year :
program Hello(input, output)
begin
writeln('Hello World')
end.
A bit advanced (in the same year):
#include <stdio.h>
void main()
{
char *message[] = {"Hello ", "World"};
int i;
for(i = 0; i < 2; ++i)
printf("%s", message[i]);
printf("\n");
}
One year completed .. what I really learned and understood is only this:
10 PRINT "HELLO WORLD"
20 END
Btech second year 1 semester:
mail -subject: "Hello, world." To:TEJU(my sister)
Teju, could you please write me a program that prints "Hello, world."?

What's cooking...(chicken curry)
How did the chicken cross the road
----------------------------------
NT Chicken:
Will cross the road in June. No, August. September for sure.
Win 95 Chicken:
You see different colored feathers while it crosses, but cook
it and it still tastes like ... chicken.
Microsoft Chicken (TM):
It's already on both sides of the road. And it just bought
the road.
OOP Chicken:
It doesn't need to cross the road, it just sends a message.
Assembler Chicken:
First it builds the road ...
C Chicken:
It crosses the road without looking both ways.
C++ Chicken:
The chicken wouldn't have to cross the road, you'd simply refer
to him on the other side.
Java Chicken:
If your road needs to be crossed by a chicken, the server will
download one to the other side. (Of course, those are chicklets)
Web Chicken:
Jumps out onto the road, turns right, and just keeps on running
Newton Chicken:
Can't cluck, can't fly, and can't lay eggs, but you can carry it
across the road in your pocket !
Mac Chicken:
No reasonable chicken owner would want a chicken to cross the
road, so there's no way to tell it to.
COBOL Chicken:
0001-CHICKEN-CROSSING.
IF NO-MORE-VEHICLES THEN
PERFORM 0010-CROSS-THE-ROAD
VARYING STEPS FROM 1 BY 1 UNTIL
ON-THE-OTHER-SIDE
ELSE
GO TO 0001-CHICKEN-CROSSING
Karthik's chicken :
1 .chicken manchuria,2.chicken tandoori,3.dum ka chicken..
but no chicken curry since 3 weeks .. mom said only lemon juice on sundays ..

Bill Gates , we love u..
He is one of the richest people, yet he is very humble, polite and more importantly an efficient
leader this world ever had.Though he stepped down as Microsoft's chairman, he is still in our hearts
and he is going to remain hereafter.
Some of his quotes I managed to collect .
"Hey, Steve, just because you broke into Xerox's store before I did and took the TV
doesn't mean I can't go in later and steal the stereo."
-- Bill Gates, Microsoft, 3/14/89--as quoted in MacWEEK,
"Anybody who thinks a little 9,000-line program that's distributed
free and can be cloned by anyone is going to affect anything
we do at Microsoft has his head screwed on wrong."
-- Bill Gates to George Gilder responding to Java
(shortly before licensing Java and dumping Blackbird)
"There won't be anything we won't say to people to try and convince
them that our way is the way to go."
-- Bill Gates on Microsoft marketing
"640K ought to be enough for anybody."
-- Bill Gates circa 1981
"If you can't make it good, at least make it look good."
-- Bill Gates on the solid code base of Win9X
"I believe OS/2 is destined to be the most important operating system,
and possibly program, of all time. As the successor to DOS, which has over
10,000,000 systems in use, it creates incredible opportunities for
everyone involved with PCs."
-- Bill Gates, from "OS/2 Programmer's Guide" (forward by Bill Gates)
"There are people who don't like capitalism, and people who don't like
PCs. But there's no-one who likes the PC who doesn't like Microsoft"
-- Bill Gates, Free Market and the LA Times
"This is the right way to develop applications for OS/2 PM. OS/2 PM is a
tremendously rich environment, which makes it inherently
complex. Smalltalk/V PM removes that complexity and lets you
concentrate on writing great programs. Smalltalk/V PM is the kind of tool
that will make OS/2 the successor to MS/DOS".
-- Bill Gates, from the back of an old Digitalk Smalltalk/V PM manual, 1990
Developer: Does the announcement [of the OS/2 joint development
agreement between IBM and Microsoft] mean that Microsoft is curtailing any plans
for future development of Windows?
Gates: Microsoft has not changed any of its plans for Windows. It is
obvious that we will not include things like threads and preemptive multitasking
in Windows. By the time we added that, you would have OS/2.
-- Bill Gates, from "OS/2 Notebook", Microsoft Press, (c) 1990--an excerpt from an
interview with Bill Gates and Jim Cannavino, p. 614
Interviewer: Is studying computer science the best way to prepare to be a programmer?
Gates: No, the best way to prepare is to write programs, and to study
great programs that other people have written. In my case, I went to
the garbage cans at the Computer Science Center and I fished out listings of
their operating system.
-- Bill Gates, from "Programmers at Work" by Microsoft Press, interview with Bill
"If you don't know what you need Windows NT for, you don't need it."
-- Bill Gates
"New interface closely resembles Presentation Manager, preparing you for
the wonders of OS/2!"
-- Microsoft Advertisement On the Box of Windows 2.11 for 286
"Microsoft programs are generally bug-free. If you visit the Microsoft hotline,
you'll literally have to wait weeks if not months until someone calls in with
a bug in one of our programs. 99.99% of calls turn out to be user mistakes.
I know not a single less irrelevant reason for an update than bugfixes.
The reasons for updates are to present more new features."
-- Bill Gates, on code stability, from Focus Magazine
"Imagine the disincentive to software development if after months of work
another company could come along and copy your work and market it under
it's own name...without legal restraints to such copying, companies like
Apple could not afford to advance the state of the art."
-- Bill Gates, on Microsoft's GUI innovations (unconfirmed quote)
"The next generation of interesting software will be made on a Macintosh, not an IBM PC."
-- Bill Gates (unconfirmed quote)
wahwaa wahwa .. hats off..

Its time for Security...............
Hello everyone ,this is kalyan. Recently, one of my friend experienced a problem with a Trogan called Mebroot.k Trojan(which effects Master boot record)
Source : floppy drive,etc............,
Symptoms :
1)u cannot access internet
2)nod32 will detect it but cannot remove it
Removal Strategy :
Method 1:
1. boot on XP CD.
2. Press R for repair.
3. In recovery console type the following.
4. fixmbr \device\hardisk0.
Are you sure you want to replace MBR blablabla... y (yes).
5. fixmbr \device\harddisk1.
6. fixmbr \device\harddisk2.
After typing fixmbr \device... there is a warning message, if you dont see that warning message it means that you mistyped the command.
It might be possible that u used "/" instead of "\" and that is why it was not working first.
harddisk0..... (do it for all disks u have)

Free internet for Ur mobile phones..
TeaShark, a mobile browser like Opera Mini, let you access Airtel GPRS for FREE. Shockingly it has nothing to do with modifying any Airtel setting so I am clueless about how its working.
- Download TeaShark browser. Its free and being JAR file it can be installed on most handsets.
- Open it from your mobile and select AirTel Live as access point.
- Thats it! Open any site from TeaShark and you won’t be charged anything.
Note for the first time, when TeaShark starts, it may take more than one minute to initialize. Also this one time initialization may fail many times. But don’t loose your heart! ![]()
Here are some mobile sites…
- Gmail: m.gmail.com
- Orkut: m.orkut.com
- Facebook: m.facebook.com
this trick is limited to handsets only. Please keep in mind that AirTel or any mobile operator can calculate all unbilled/free usage anytime in future thus may charge you all of a sudden. So please use it at your own risk! ![]()
Link: Download TeaShark | wap site - wap.teashark.com
Alternate Liink: Download TeaShark (Stable Version)

Common virus removal strategies (xclusive post)
I receive a good number of phone calls everyday asking for virus removal strategies .The very first thing they ask me "should i format and reinstall os?".I recommend never do that.Don't panic ,stay calm ,every virus with proper monitoring can be removed and most importantly NEVER FORMAT AND REINSTALL OS for the sake of removing virus .
Here I present you with most common viruses removal techniques :
1.SOHANAD ( NEWFOLDER.exe,Autoplay.exe generic virus)
The newfolder.exe/autoplay is also known as Sohanad. This virus mainly spread through storage devices like pendrive and floppy. To remove this kinda virus I recommend to use SRT (sohanad removal tool).
The symptoms of this virus are:
a.You will find a folder by the name New folder.exe in a drive or a new folder in every folder you have
b. Your hard disk partition will have a Autoplay option if you right click on it
To use this just download the tool. Now restart your comp and enter safemode. Insert all the removable storage device that might have this virus Now run this tool and your a free of this virus.
DOWNLOAD SRT
2.Enable /Disable task manager
- Go to regedit(START>>>RUN>>>Now type REGEDIT)
- Navigate to this folder HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System
- Now make the find value DisableTaskMgr
change it's Data to one of these as required (0 = disabled, 1 = enabled)
3.Remove UST virus/ Funny scandal virus
It's also called as Funny scandal virus coz file name is Funny UST Scandal. avi.exe This is a dangerous virus as it turns off the most antivirus upon installation. Funny UST Scandal.exe may infect network computers, through network shares and infected messages, Yahoo messenger and stop all running process.
Just download this tool to remove the virus.
4.Remove Medichi virus
The Medichi Virus is an common virus. IT causes several issues on the user desktop that will render the system nearly useless. It will disable control panel i.e you cannot change anything in control panel . The system tray time is also changed. You will receive messages that will say you have been infected by spyware and ask you to download this spyware removal tool.
To remove the virus just delete (SHIFT + DELETE)
- C:\WINDOWS\medichi.exe
- C:\WINDOWS\medichi2.exe.
